Anybody catch the new filmmaking reality series "On the Lot"?
It's sort of a cross between "Project Greenlight" and "The Apprentice."
I thought it was an interesting start though I guess some of the people's films speak a whole lot more eloquently than their own directors. The first round of weeding out the some of the weaker candidates involved a Hollywood pitch session, where they had to pitch a movie idea based off of a short logline. It was almost too embarrassing to see some of the efforts put forth. Yikes!!
Because every director has his or her own vision, I can see a lot of head-butting and drama in this series. Talk about egos galore!
Of course, I'm just jealous, because I'm not on it, though I could see myself becoming just as frustrated as many of the participants.
