Do you want to own a condo instead of paying rent?
(what I'm about to say may sound salesy, but it really is a great progam that I would like you to know about)
Simply stated, if you make less than $52,800 a year, you can qualify for the affordable housing discount program, which basically means that you can get a 20% discount on affordable housing condos in Chicago.
When developers like my company, American Invsco, develop condo buildings, they get tax incentives if they set aside a certain percentage of the condos as afordable housing units. These units are exactly the same as the regular units. The only difference is that they're offered at a lower price and sold only to the people who qualify (people who earned less than $52,800 last year)
Right now, my company, American Invsco, has a property, Century Tower, downtown in the Loop at Wells and Lake that has several affordable housing condos still available. Century Tower just opened this fall for sale, and these newly-renovated units are badass!
Here's the best part - with the affordable housing units, prices start at only $133,900!
And these are for nice condos, not crappy run-down units. check out the web site to see what I'm talking about: www.centurytowercondos.com
I really think this is a great opportunity, and I'd like to see my friends be the ones who take advantage of it.
If you think you are even remotely interested in this, please feel free to contact me, or even if this isn't the right time for you but you just want to learn more about real estate, I'd be happy to share my knowledge with you.
Also, if you know anyone else who might want to check this out, please feel free to send them my way.
Thanks!
