From Aint-it-cool news! Neat stuff from Joss Whedon on the comic book he's writing!
* Buffy and The Immortal were never an item. In fact, Buffy may never have been to Italy. The blonde girl Angel and Spike glimpsed partying in that hilarious Rome episode was a double and a decoy!
* Buffy now oversees 10 squads of young women comprising 500 slayers.
* Anya Jenkins, who died at the end of season seven, is back (if not precisely back from the dead).
* Dawn Summers reaches “ginormic proportions” as a byproduct of losing her virginity.
* Xander Harris now leads slayer central command in Scotland.
* The U.S. government, perhaps believing Buffy responsible for Sunnydale’s destruction, has labeled her army of slayers a terrorist group.
Though billed as an “eighth season,” these New Adventures of Buffy might strike some as something more akin to “Buffy: The Motion Picture.” And by “Motion Picture,” we don’t mean another Luke Perry teen comedy.
"The show was very mundane, deliberately mundane. A comic has got to work on a grander, epic scale,” Whedon tells MTV.com. “This is bigger variations. It's a symphony based on the little tune we played."
I'm very excited about this!

I'm re-watching all of Buffy these days. I'm now just about to start season 6.

Does this mean Dawn suddenly grows to be 7'10" and 650 pounds? Or is this a demonic/magical powers sort of ginormic?
